Final Assignment; advantages and disadvantages of using blogs in the English classroom.

Hi everyone, how are you? I hope you are fine

I am very happy because this is the last assignment of English that I must do in the blog (I hope).

In this time I am going talk about the adventages and disadvantages of using blog in the Englis classroom. First I will explain what it is about this blog. The blog is a kind of homework that we have to do weekly, are different assignments that enable each student of the course improving and go practicing writing in English.

The blog is a tool that has advantages and disadvantages. Below are the advantages of using the blog in English:

1. Allows practice writing in English

2. Allows practice in English Grammar

3. You can learn more for fellow Class

4. Blog is something you can learn English and have a good time at the same time

5. Is an activity other than those that are always in classes inlges, as the book

6.And there is always someone who can help you, for example Chelsea

All of these factors allow the use of the blog is a useful tool for learning in English.

Secondly been submitted deventajas use blog in English class:

1. There aren't always stories to share with others

2. The time to do it in class is not respected, because it has to work in the Englihs Discover, and we must carry out the practical activities

3. It is hard for people who do not have a good management to write in English, which should match the level of all students

4. It always takes time to do so, by the amount of evidence that must be done. It is for this reason that you have to do the blog at home and doubts can not ask at the time

In conclusion, the advantages are exposed to continued and develop more. And the disadvantages are to be taken into account and lead to improved use of the blog in English classes.

Film¡¡¡

Hi everyone: this week I am going talk abaout the film I saw recently. Two weeks ago I went to see the "Radio Corazon" is a very entertaining movie, but not as good as I was waiting for him, because this movie is a continuation of "Chacotero sentimental" this one had a lot of fun content but also had a lot of content social that is very interesting in our society.
The movie was very well done had a good photograph. The film had 3 stories very diferent, interesting and fun. For me the more funy was the first story.
The actors did a very good job representing the true stories of real people. All the actors were Chileans, but one that was Argentine. The director of the film is best known as the "Rumpy" who works on the "Radio Corazon", doing a program called The" chacotero Sentimal", this program drew the stories that appeared in the movie.
Well I hope you can see this movie, for pass a good time

My favorite classmate's blogspot

This assignment consists on writing an evaluation or a criticism about a classmate’s blogspot. I don’t really have a favorite one because I think the all blogs have something good and fun, like a pictures, the historys, links, colors etc.
But one of wich I call the attention was Daniela's blogspot, in first place because this blog has many photographs that have made me pretty memories and her historys are very nice and prity. However this is not the only blog that I like also the blog of Carla is very attractive because it is always very innovative things that could not be found in any blog jajaja. As their special photos, or movies very strange that only very few know....so I can Know about the other kind of movies for example.

Fiestas Patrias tikitikiti¡¡¡¡

For Fiestas Patrias I go out whit my all family.
The 17 of September went to the “Fonda Huachaca”, where we ate, we dancing and we have a nice time. This fonda is very recognized in the city because they have been long time doing it.
For 18 of September went whit my old family to the uncle’s house to eat a big barbecue, this begin in the morning and finish in the night …so you can imagine I eating very much and have a good time whit all my family. This barbecue was the 18 of September.
To the following day went to the house of my grandmother. Here we only ate “kupe”, this a Arabian food that preparers my grandmother since married for the second time. This food is very good bud also to I very heavy.
Well, I enjoy very much this Fiestas Patrias and sorry bud I don’t have pictures for show.

Hello everyone, how are you???
I hope you are fine
This week I am going talk about my favorite painting: “Guernica”. This one was painted by Picasso in memory of the city of Guernica, which was bombed in the Spanish civil war, by the franquists.
The spanish republic asked Picasso to make a painting for the Spanish Pavilion, during the international exposition of Paris in 1937.


In the painting you can see: a bull, this animal represents the Spanish culture; a mother crying for her dead son; a warrior with his neck cut off; a horse that shouts intensely: this animal represents the maximum pain; and the figure that’s most important for me is the flower, that represents peace in the middle of the war.
In my opinion, Guernica is a very sad painting, because it showes the cruelest side of the war; but the same time it’s very interesting, because has a critical view about the Spanish society in war.
I like very much this painting because Picasso used the expressionist art. This type of art showes the drama of situations, so you can imagine how people lived in the war, how they resist the repression of the government of Franco, how they survived and the most important, how they held out heroically and fought for their ideals and for liberty.
I hope you like this exposition.

Working memory resources and interference in directed forgetting

Well, this week I’m going to talk about one research that has showed that the hability to inhibit irrelevant information is related to Working Memory (WM) capacity. This research was done by Maria Felipa Soriano and Maria Teresa Bajo, who make three experiments to explore and check this relationship between inhibition of irrelevant information and WM. They use a list method directed-forgetting task (DF) in participants varying in WM capacity. When they had the results, they discovered in Experiment 1, DF effects were only found for participants with low WM capacity, whereas high WM capacity participants did not show this effect. In the second experiment, 2 and 3 interference was increased by introducing a memory load between the to-be-forgotten and the to-be-remembered list (Experiment2) and by increasing the list length (Experiment 3).

In conclusion, the reversal of the effect for the high and low WM capacity group depending on the degree of interference suggests that inhibition in the DF procedure depends on both: the degree of interference experienced by the participants, and the availability of controlled resources.

I chose www.emol.cl, because you can be informed about news of the country, the world, sports, science and many other things…….whenever you it want. As you can imagine, it’s very interesting, funny and it works if you want to r relax. It is also very useful, cause all the information you need is right there, at the reach of your hand.
I knew this website by my brother Sebastian. He likes very much to see national news, but he never has time to watch them on TV, so he must see them by using the emol. And I use this web site one year ago.

The study of the human intelligence.

The study of intelligence has been one of the most important topics of Psychology throughout the XXth century. From the works of Spearman, Binet and Thurstone, and even today has been constant and polemic.
Today, the intelligence is defined as the mental aptitude to glide, to solve problems, to think in abstract, to learn and understand ideas.
The innate intelligence can be increased by external factors as the environment where the subject develops his capacities, alimentary factors, education, sociocultural habits and hours of sleep.
According to Gardner, creator of the Theory of the multiple intelligencies, in the human being they can differ seven types:
1. Linguistics intelligence
2. Mathematical logic intelligence
3. Spatial intelligence
4. Physics y cinestetica intelligence
5. Musical intelligence
6. Interpersonal intelligence
7. Intrapersonal intelligence
The intelligence is accepted as the product of the environment and genetic variables (80%), but the rest is indefinite because depends of the different cultures.

What I did last weekend?????

Last weekend I had 3 free days, so I did many things, like a visiting my grandmother, with my whole family. Also I went to the cinema to watch “Pirates of Caribbean: At the world’s end”. This is a very funny but very long movie. I recommend it anyway because the leading actor (Jonny Deep) makes an outstanding performance, and also is a very handsome man.
Also I went eating Italian food.. I liked it very much. However, you need to have some sleep afterwards, because that food is very heavy.
I went out with my boyfriend because both of us had free time and we went to the park for a stroll and a meaningful conversation.
So, that was my last weekend.

I am going talk about the "eastern culture", because this topic is very important for our culture to.In first place the arabian culture is very ancient, so they have a huge knowledge about science, astronomy, filosophy, history and many other subjects. This culture had many contacts with other cultures, so many of its habits were transferred to the small cultures that got in touch with it, like Spain or Italy. This, because the western culture was very separated after Rome fell down.
Then, the western culture (spain) transferred many habits of the eastern culture to other places like America, so we have many habits of the eastern culture, for example kind of close, construction, etc.
